We got married early that year so we can immigrate together.
Papa Mayolo came as a tourist in 1971, got a SSS# & found work at a grocery chain a friend work.
Marcos declared Martial law in 1972.
Our close friends Romy & Eria moved to Scottsboro, Alabama when his company relocated there. Papa went & stayed with them, waiting for my citizenship papers, due 1975. Romy's company closed & they moved to Chicago.
Papa went to San Francisco. Cousin Celia & many relatives from Calape are there.
By 1977, I wrote my congressman for help in my citizenship application. In a month, I was interviewed by an immigration officer & sworned as a citizen. I mailed the citizenship certificate as soon as I can to the lawyer helping Papa with his application. Papa petitioned Mama and you all can finish our story in America...

U.S. House election, 1894 was a realigning election—a major Republican landslide that set the stage for the decisive Election of 1896. The elections of members of the United States House of Representatives in 1894 came in the middle of President Grover Cleveland's second term. The nation was in its deepest economic depression ever following the Panic of 1893, so economic issues were at the forefront. In the spring, a major coal strike damaged the economy of the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic. It was accompanied by violence; the miners lost and many moved toward the Populist party. Immediately after the coal strike concluded, Eugene V. Debs led a nationwide railroad strike, called the Pullman Strike. It shut down the nation's transportation system west of Detroit for weeks, until President Cleveland's use of federal troops ended the strike. Debs went to prison (for disobeying a court order). Illinois' Governor John Peter Altgeld, a Democrat, broke bitterly with Cleveland. The fragmented and disoriented Democratic Party was crushed everywhere outside the South, losing more than half its seats to the Republican Party. Even in the South, the Democrats lost seats to Republican-Populist electoral fusion in Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina.[1][2] The Democrats lost 125 seats in the election while the Republicans won 130 seats. This makes the 1894 election the largest midterm election victory in the entire history of the United States.
Praying that this coming 2010 midterm election will mirror 1894! President Grover Cleveland was a Democrat too. 1896 presidential election of President McKinley is significant to the Philippines, Cuba and Puerto Rico.
The Independent Review/Auditor came on Monday. At the end of the two hour audit, my mind was made up. There is no end in sight for my business. USA Patriot Act was renewed this year by with nary any revision in regards to foreign money remitters. The new governor of the state of New Jersey have other priorities to balance the budget and reduce the billion dollars deficit to have the energy to reduce state regulations. My customer base is stagnant! I had not one new client the whole year of 2009 and my regular client's remittance amount are at it's lowest ever.

I pick up Kk at daycare after the audit.
On my way home on the NJ Turnpike north is a billboard that says 'After you die, you see God' Rev. 1:7.
The complete scripture on NAB:

Behold, he is coming amid the clouds, and very eye will see him, even those who pierced him. All the people of the earth will lament him. Yes. Amen. [Revelation 1:7]
I thought of my beloved sister, C'yoy. For the first time since she left, my dam broke. On my iphone music blaring was the Beatles song 'When I'm Sixty-Four'. I'll be 64 in July. She would have been 62 a day before my 64th. She left at about the same age as our mother at 61 in 1983.
I have no more energy, patience and funds for all the Federal and New Jersey State compliance requirement to maintain a Foreign Money Remitter license.
The dissolution of the business is effective when the payment and all documentation are received by New Jersey Division of Revenue.
I run this business more years than most of my nursing jobs. The only nursing job I work longer was at University Hospital, Neuro-surgical Intensive Care Unit. DtP outlasted Wachovia, First National Bank brand and the CEO of BoA.
<!--

Freedom for you and me. Look at the madness, The faces of sadness, The people who try to survive. And why is it so, The children are wondering why. We've broken the promise, The truth is upon us. Somehow we're living a lie And why don't we start, The start being smart, you and I. Just look around, what do you see? Is this the way we want it to be. I can't believe the way we carry on. are we wrong? Ev'rybody all over the world, We've got to get along. If we don't get together, we'll be gone. Talking 'bout freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. I said freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. Got to have freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. Look at tomorrow Think of the sorrow. Think of the price we'll pay. Look to your heart. And love will lead the way. People are praying. People are saying. How long can this go on. It just isn't right. To fight for the right to belong. Ev'rybody all over the world. Raise your voices in song. If we don't get together, we'll be gone. Talking 'bout freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. We need freedom. Freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. We need freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. I said freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. Ev'rybody wants freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. We got to have some freedom. Freedom for you and me. Ev'rybody needs it for the world. I said freedom. Freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. Ev'rybody said you got you got to have freedom. Freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. We've got to have it. Freedom for you and me. Freedom for the world. Ev'rybody wants it
What made the map interesting is that only one of the 28 nations listed was a so-called tax haven, thus exposing the left-wing lie that low-tax jurisdictions are somehow hotbeds of dirty money.
A more fundamental question is whether anti-money laundering laws are an effective way of fighting crime. The evidence is not encouraging. The system costs billions of dollars each year. Banks are forced to set up expensive monitoring systems to snoop on their customers. They are then required to send reports to the government for all large or unusual transactions. Theoretically, these reports are supposed to alert law enforcement to patterns of criminal activity, but since banks are compelled to send millions of reports every year, it is impossible to sift through haystacks of data to find needles of criminal activity. This is why conservatives, such as a former Reagan Justice Department official John Yoder, think the laws do more harm than good. This six-minute video from the Center for Freedom and Prosperity explains why the time has come for politicians to reconsider the current approach.

from: big government.com
<!--

If you want to stimulate the economy and help poor and middle class families, cut payroll taxes so that more Americans can keep and invest more of what they earn...
If you want lasting economic expansion and prosperity, get the federal government’s budget under control. Argentine tango can be danced close -- very close. Its intimacy and passion can sweep me into the romantic ozone layer, obscuring any sense of reality. It lures me into wanting more -- more intimacy, more connectedness, more transcendence.
So why do I tango? Because Argentine tango conceals many profound spiritual lessons. Our relationship with God is meant to be one of intimacy and passion. So it is with tango. In the spiritual life, God leads and we follow. So it is in tango. In the Eucharist, God gives Himself away to us. The same should be true in tango. Argentine tango takes the abstract concepts of our faith and makes them concrete. Let me explain.

apo #2 named after favorite daughter heard the name on Dancing With the Stars - Katrina.
<!--

The state has the highest tax burden in the country and the incumbent Democrat governor has only added to the economic burden. He eliminated property tax rebates for middle class homeowners while the sales tax increased. Altogether, taxes on the people in the region have increased by billions of dollars. It’s no surprise that New Jersey has the highest unemployment rate in the region! Thankfully, there is an alternative. Residents there will be better off under an administration that understands the benefits that result when workers are allowed to keep more of what they earn. Watch New Jersey's economy come alive under new leadership that will put government back on the side of the people! Chris Christie promises this new leadership.
Fortunately, New Jersey's Democrat governor is being held accountable with the RGA spending $7 million in the New York and Philadelphia media markets telling the truth about a liberal administrative record while highlighting New Jersey's tax-hiking ways and reminding voters there is an alternative! The NY and Philly markets are the most expensive in the nation though, so the RGA is requesting help to stay on the air. Received the sacraments - baptism, confirmation, confession now called reconciliation, Holy Communion and matrimony. I bought and gave out the New American Bible as gifts when it was available but never read it. I was satisfied at the scripture readings at Sunday masses. Until apo #1 at age 7 asked me how many Psalms are in the bible. Well she told me 'its 150, Lola, don't you have a bible?' I didn't knew how many Psalms there are in the Old Testament. I skimmed through my pristine clean, uncreased, white fake leather covered 'New American Bible' to check out if her answer was right.
September-October, 1995...
My friend, dangs, ask me to go with her to Rome motherhouse of her biological sister-nun, Sr. Feliciana, to represent her neice entering her perpetual vow at the convent. I worked regular 40 hr week at that time and did not have enough vacation times. I went from Paris to Annecy and back. That's another story in itself.,.
Back to dangs. I planned our trip to as many places in Europe as she want to go. I only want to go to Lourdes, France.
